A Brief History of Bingo and Why It Still Matters
Bingo isn't a new game — it's been around for over a hundred years and remains popular worldwide to this day. What makes Bingo special is the simplicity of its rules. You don't need to remember complex strategies or memorize card combinations. All you need is attention, a bit of luck, and the fun of playing with others.
In Malaysia, Bingo has long been part of the community's entertainment culture. Now, mahjong888 brings that experience to a digital format that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere without leaving home.
How to Play Bingo at mahjong888 — Step by Step
Getting started with Bingo at mahjong888 is straightforward. Once logged in to your account, navigate to the Bingo section and you will see a list of rooms that are currently active or starting soon. Each room displays key information such as ticket limits, current jackpot, number of players in the room, and game start time.
Pick a room that fits your budget and skill level, then purchase the tickets you want to play with. You can choose cards randomly generated by the system, or in some rooms, select your own numbers. Once all players are ready and the game begins, numbers are called one by one automatically.
Every number called will be automatically marked on your card if it matches. The first player to complete the required pattern — whether a single line, two lines, or a full house — wins. Winnings are credited directly to your account instantly with no delays.
Bingo Progressive Jackpot — Prizes That Keep Growing
One of the biggest attractions of Bingo at mahjong888 is a progressive jackpot system available in select rooms. A progressive jackpot means the prize value keeps growing with every round that passes without a top jackpot winner. This can result in a very large jackpot accumulating before it is finally won by one lucky player.
To win the progressive jackpot, you typically need to complete a full house within a limited number of called numbers. This adds a level of tension not found in regular Bingo — every number called brings you closer to the big jackpot or pushes it further away.
Special Bonuses and Promotions for Bingo Players
mahjong888 provides various bonuses designed specifically for the Bingo section. New members will receive free tickets to try in selected Bingo rooms after making their first deposit. This is a great opportunity to get familiar with the platform without spending too much at the start.
In addition, weekly bonus ticket promotions allow active players to earn extra free tickets based on their ticket purchase history over the week. A cashback program is also available to ensure players receive some returns even during less fortunate weeks.
All latest promotions including special offers for the Bingo section can be found on the Promotions which is updated on a regular basis.
